Central Committee meeting of Maoist Center from today

Kathmandu, August 2: The central committee meeting of the ruling CPN (Maoist Centre) will kick off today in the capital. The party Chairman and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is scheduled to inaugurate the meeting at 11 am. The meeting is scheduled to be held at the Nepal Academy Hall in Kamaladi.

Secretary of the Central Office of the Maoist Center Dor Prasad Upadhyay informed that the agenda for submission of political and organizational report by Chairman Dahal has been decided in the meeting. The meeting will also review the functioning of the government.

A total of 387 full central members, 198 alternate central members, 75 members of three commissions and 100 officials of 10 provinces will participate in the meeting. Secretary Upadhyay informed that all preparations for the meeting have been completed.

The Maoist Center has also prepared to broadcast the meeting of the Central Committee live through social platform like Facebook. He said that the program was decided in the meeting so that each member would give his opinion based on the report. In order to complete the agenda of the meeting, the meeting of the Standing Committee of the Maoist Center is being held this morning at the party office Parisdanda in Kathmandu.
