Kathmandu, May 20: CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has directed its parliamentarians to present the stances of the party in the government’s policy and programme in a strong manner.
In his address to a meeting of the CPN (UML)’s parliamentary party meeting at parliament building in New Baneswor today, he instructed the parliamentarians to strongly articulate the party’s stances on the policy and prorgamme to be discussed in parliament from Sunday onward.
“UML’s role has become weak. So, oru role needs to be strong in the parliament. Be effective in articulating party’s position in the parliament in the given time”, Oli instructed.
He said they would not allow the government to endorse its annual policy and programme from the parliament.
Oli argued that the government-introduced policy and programme was unclear, confusing and directionless so it would not address any problems persisting in the political, social and economic fronts.
