Chinese President Xi’s state visit to Nepal from Saturday afternoon



            Kathmandu, Oct 11 : President of People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, is paying a two-day state visit to Nepal from Saturday afternoon at the friendly invitation of President Bidya Devi Bhandari

            This is the first visit by a Chinese President to Nepal in 23 years. Chinese President Xi would take rest for sometime after landing at Tribhuvan International Airport via a special aircraft and he is scheduled to hold meeting with his Nepali counterpart Bidya Devi Bhandari at Sheetal Niwas.

            President will host a banquet on Saturday in honour of Chinese President Xi. Similarly, Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba will pay a courtesy call on the Chinese President on Saturday itself.

            Likewise, Chinese President Xi will hold delegation-level official talks with Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday.

            Following the talks, both leaders will witness the signing of bilateral agreements and memoranda of understanding, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

            Chairperson of the Nepal Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ is schedules to a pay courtesy call on the Chinese President.
