Kathmandu, May 12: President Ram Chandra Paudel has approved the resignation of economic expert Dr Chiranjivi Nepal.
Issuing a press note today, spokesperson at the Office of the President, Shailaja Regmi Bhattarai mentioned that the President has accepted the resignation tendered by his economic expert Nepal.
President Paudel thanked Nepal for his service during his tenure.
Recently Dr Nepal commented about printing the map of Nepal in the Rs 100 bank note. He repeatedly tried to clarify about the issue, but he had to face sharp criticism including Chairman of CPN UML KP Sharma Oli.
He was the opinion that it’s not good practice of publishing the country’s map in the bank notes.
