Panchthar, Dec 30: The Church Boys United Club Kathmandu has clinched the title of the 11th edition of the Falgunanand Gold Cup Football Tournament organized at Phidim in Panchthar district.
The Church Boys United Club defeated Machhindra Football Club 5-4 in the tiebreaker and won the title in today’s final match held at the playground of Phidim Secondary School.
The decision was taken through tiebreaker after the match ended with equal two goals. In tiebreaker, Ekraj Budhathoki, Rohan Karki, a foreign player, Chhiring Lama and Sujan Dangol of Church Boys scored goals while Devendra Tamang, Sanish Shrestha, Saurav Subba and Samiraj Thokar of Machhindra Football Club made goals.
The title winner Church Boys received Rs 1,000,555, trophy, medal and certificate while the runner-up team Machhindra Football Club got Rs 500,555. #nepal #football
