Kathmandu, Jan 24: A team of Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has arrested Sunil Paudel, the former managing director of Nepal Telecom, and Bikal Paudel, the former executive director of Security Printing Center.
Both of them were taken into custody after they did not appear when they were called for a statement in connection with the investigation of illegal wealth acquisition.
A corruption case has already been filed against both of them. In that connection, a complaint of illegal property acquisition was also lodged against them. CIAA sources said, “The CIAA has called them repeatedly to present themselves in the office, but they ignored the CIAA’s request.”
The authority has prepared to present both of them in the special court on Thursday.
