Climbing team attempting Manaslu reaches base camp

Kathmandu, Sept 14: A team of climbers led by Seven Summit Treks (SST) attempting Mount Manaslu has successfully reached base camp.

Upon arrival, the team conducted a customary puja ceremony, a sacred ritual seeking blessings and protection for the expedition.

The ceremony, rooted in the Nepali mountaineering tradition, carries the significance of showing love, respect, and the incredible dynamics of the human-mountain relationship.

The entire climbing team and organisers gathered at a sacred site to pay homage to the gods and deities believed to reside in the mountains, seeking a safe passage to the summit and a safe return, and expressing gratitude for the people and equipment involved in the expedition.

During the ceremony, Lamas, spiritual leaders, blessed the climbing party and their equipment, praying for the blessings of the gods and goddesses for the team’s safety and success, said SST.

Offering its best wishes and support to the entire climbing team and crew for a successful climb, SST, the organising company, said the team is now preparing for the journey ahead. #manaslu
