Collaboration should be strong between Nepal and India for prosperity: VP Yadav

Kathmandu, Jan 17: Vice-President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has said as close neighbours the past, present and future of Nepal and India are interconnected.

During a meeting with Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Naveen Srivastava, who called him at the latter’s official residence in Lainchour on Wednesday, Vice-President Yadav stressed that friendship and collaboration should be further strengthened for progress and prosperity of the people of both countries. “India is an important development partner of Nepal. We have been receiving remarkable support from India in different sectors including financial and technical support”, he mentioned.

The Vice-President said that Nepal-India collaboration in aviation, road and railway, petroleum pipeline, hydropower, development of transmission line, establishment of integrated check post and human resources development sector is significant. Exchange of high-level visits between the two countries have been playing significant role in further strengthening bilateral relations.

On the occasion, the Indian Ambassador stressed that India has always supported Nepal’s development endeavours and it would continue in coming days, according to the office of the Vice-President. RSS
