Kathmandu, June 3: A complaint has been lodged at the Election Commission demanding action against the political parties –registered as per the Constitution – protesting the republic and secularism which is anti-constitutional.

Advocate Dr Premraj Silwal, a local of Tokha Municipality-8, registered the complaint on Monday. In the application, it is stated that the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) led by Rajendra Lingden – which has been represented in the Federal Parliament after being registered at the EC has been staging street demonstration against the Constitution and democratic republic system.

The applicant in the complaint claimed that the demonstration is against the constitution and law, demanding compliance of the constitutional provisions related to political parties.

The complainant also demanded action against the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) as its protest has brazenly violated the constitutional arrangement on the democratic republic which has been enshrined as the irreversible provision in the main law of the land.

Advocate Silwal shared that he lodged the complaint demanding justification from the RPP, demand an end to the anti-constitutional and anti-law actions taking place in the name of the protest and take legal action to the extent of withdrawing the registration of the political party.

He further shared that the application has been registered at the Prime Minister’s Office demanding the action.#nepal #rss
