Kathmandu, Sept 30: Lok Bahadur Bishwakarma has been appointed as the President of the Nepal Dalit Association, a fraternal organization of the Nepali Congress.
Congress President and former Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba has appointed Bishwakarma as the President today according to the decision of the party’s central working committee meeting held on Srawan 10th.
Chief Secretary of the Congress Central Office Krishna Prasad Paudel informed that President Deuba has appointed Bishwakarma to the Dalit Association as the previous term expired.
The term of the Association ended automatically as per Article 42 (1) (f) of the Statute of Nepali Congress, 2017 (with amendments).
