Kathmandu, July 21: Nepali Congress Bagmati Province has proposed Congress lawmaker Bahadur Singh Lama as the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province. The parliamentary party meeting held on Sunday has proposed party leader Lama as the next chief minister.
With the alliance of Congress and CPN UML in the centre, the government is about to change in Bagmati as well. For the first time in Bagmati, Nepali Congress will be leading for the first time. Current Chief Minister Shalikram Jamkattel is taking the vote of confidence in the provincial assembly meeting today at 1 pm.
Congress and UML have a comfortable majority in Bagmati. In the 110-member state assembly, there are 37 MPs from Congress and 27 from UML. Fifty-six votes are required for majority. #nepal #bagmati #NepaliCongress
