Congress, UML draw attention on earthquake victims to the Prime Minister

Kathmandu, July 26: Leaders of Nepali Congress and CPN (UML) of Rukum-West and Rukum-East districts, the district leaders of both parties, including MPs, drew attention to the fact that most of the people affected by the Jajarkot-earthquake have not yet received grant money for temporary housing before Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli.

The delegation of that district met Prime Minister Oli today at the Prime Minister’s residence, Baluwatar, and requested him to quickly provide the first and second installments that the government has decided to give to those affected by the earthquake.

In the memorandum, it is demanded to establish a project office of the National Reconstruction Authority for reconstruction.

Similarly, complaints have been made to Prime Minister Oli that the CPN (Maoist Center) was not allowed to experience democracy by keeping other parties under political access and legal influence during the armed conflict and in various incidents.

UML Politburo Member Khemman Khadka, Congress National Assembly Member Krishna Bahadur Rokaye, UML House Member Chandra Bahadur Bishwakarma, Congress Former State Minister Gopaljijung Shah, Musikot Municipality Chief Mahendra KC, Rukum-East UML District chair Leelamani Gautam, State Member of the same Congress Sarita BC, Rukum- West Congress district president Premprakash Oli, UML district chair of the same district Nandaram Devkota and others participated.
