KATHMANDU, Dec 08: The country on Tuesday recorded 1,382 new cases of corona virus infection. With this, the corona virus infection tally in the country reached 243,377, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 8,947 RT-PCR tests were conducted. The Ministry stated that so far 229,054 infected people got recovered from the virus including 1,621 in the past 24 hours.
At present, the country has 12,686 reported active cases. Similarly, the Kathmandu valley witnessed 594 new cases including 263 women in the past 24 hours.
The new cases in the Kathmandu valley are 413 in Kathmandu district, 113 in Lalitpur and 61 in Bhaktapur.
Likewise, a total of 23 people succumbed to the virus across the country in the past 24 hours.
With this, the number of total Covid-19 related fatalities reached 1,637 till December 8.
