KATHMANDU: The country witnessed a total of 1,945 new cases out of 10340 TR-PCR tests of coronavirus infections in the past 24 hours.
According to the Ministry of Health and Population, altogether 5,364 people got discharged after a complete recovery from the coronavirus in the same period.
With the recent data, the coronavirus tally in the country reached 216,965 while the number of active case stands at 24,665.
The Ministry stated that the recovery rate of the coronavirus infection in Nepal is 88 per cent.
It is said that 12 districts have 500 plus active cases of the virus while Manang has not reported a single active case at present.
Across the country, 403 people are receiving treatment in ICU and 63 others are in ventilators.
Likewise, the Ministry stated that 22 people succumbed to the virus across the country taking the total tally 1,298.
The Kathmandu Valley saw 1,107 new cases of the coronavirus including 623 men in the last 24 hours.
