Couple dies of electrocution while fishing

Pokhara, Nov 21: A couple died due to electrocution while fishing in Pokhara, Kaski police reported.

Bhimlal Sunar, 46, and his wife, Sabitri Sunar, 46, died on Monday died when they tried to catch fish applying electricity in the local drain at Patneri of  Pokhara Metropolitan City-29, police said.

They were originally from Mustan district, Nepal.

Police from Shishuwa have reached the spot after receiving information that the Sunar couple was injured due to electric shock.

Spokesman of District Police Office Kaski and Deputy Superintendent of Police Shraban Kumar BK informed that the couple were rescued from the scene by the police and taken to Western Regional Hospital under Pokhara Institute of Health Sciences.

The bodies of the deceased couple have been kept at the West Regional Hospital for post-mortem.
