COVID-19 : 2,400 more infected, 51 people died in 24 hours



KATHMANDU: Today, 2,442 people across the country have been found infected with the coronavirus and 51 have died.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, swab tests of 10,956 people confirmed the infection of 2,442 people. Two thousand 401 people were infected on Saturday.

Similarly, 51 people have died from coronavirus in 24 hours. Thirty-four people died on Saturday. At the same time, the death toll from COVID-19 has reached 8,726.

Two thousand 456 people have been recovered in the last 24 hours. The active Covid-19 infection cases have been recorded at 42 districts of Nepal where more than 500 cases found in each district.

The ministry says the number of active infected people have been decreasing in recent days across the country, including Kathmandu valley.

Out of 55,532 active cases, a total of 51,833 people are in home isolation and 3,699 in institutional isolation. There are 871 in ICUs and 250 in ventilators across the country.
