Covid-19: 25 new infections confirmed, tally climbs to 427



Kathmandu: Twenty-five people have been confirmed positive to Corona Virus today.

The new cases are from Banke, Dhankuta, Kapilvastu and Nawalarasi West, according to Ministry of Health and Population.

Speaking at the regular press meet on Wednesday, MoHP Spokesperson Dr Bikash Devkota said that the newly infected include people from three years old to 48 years old, comprising 18 men and seven women.

This takes the total number of people infected with COVID-19 to 427 and 2 deaths to date.

Six of the newly infected are from ward no. 5 of Narainapur rural municipality in Banke while 13 are from Kapilvastu, stationed at the Bijayanagar quarantine.

Those in Banke are 17, 20, 28, 30 and 48 years old from Narainapur and 27-year-old from Khajura.

Those in Bijayanagar are of 22, 35 and 48 years old. Likewise, three among the infected are girl child of three, four and six years old in Maharajgunj rural municipality.

Also from the same rural municipality are women of 16, 25 and 32 years old and four men of 12, 20, 24 and 34 years old.

In Dhankuta, five men of 28, 29, 35 and 37 years old and a woman of 24 years old were confirmed positive to COVID-19 while there are five men from Susta rural municipality in Nawalparasi West carrying the Corona Virus.

Among those infected so far, 358 are men and 69 are women. The infection has spread to 38 of the 77 districts of Nepal.

Meanwhile, eight people undergoing treatment at Koshi zonal have recovered and discharged today.

This takes the number of people who recovered from COVID-19 in Nepal to 45.
