COVID-19: 3,051 new cases reported

Kathmandu: A total of 3,051 new cases of COVID-19 has been reported in the country in the last 24 hours. This includes 1,842 male and 1,209 female.

It was found in a total of 13,068 RT-PCR tests done for Corona Virus in various laboratories across the country.

Likewise, in the same period 3,430 people recovered from the deadly virus. Also today, 18 people succumbed to the virus, taking the death toll to 1,052 to date, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.

Total infections have reached 185,974 with a total of 1,507,190 RT-PCR tests done so far. On a gender basis, 66 per cent of the infected are male and 33 per cent are female.

Currently, the active cases are 36,514 with 29574 in home-based isolation.

Likewise, 428 are undergoing treatment in ICU while 74 are with ventilator support.

Altogether 1,232 people are still in quarantine. Among those infected, 148,408 have recovered with the recovery rate standing at 79.8 per cent.

The percentage of death is 0.6 per cent. In Kathmandu valley, 1,398 new cases of COVID-19 was reported with 601 female and 797 male.

The districts currently having more than 500 active cases are Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Chitwan, Makwanpur, Kavre, Kaski, Nawalparasi (W), Dang and Rupandehi. Manang and Bajura have no active case.
