Kathmandu: A total of 2,569 new cases of COVID-19 was confirmed on Thursday in the country. In 10,081 PCR tests carried out, 1,007 women and 1,562 men tested positive to the virus.
This takes the total number of infection to 202,329 in the country, according to the Ministry of Health and Population.
The total number of active cases is 38,912. Likewise, 1,666 people recovered to their normal health today, taking the total recoveries to 162,243. The recovery percentage in the country is 80 per cent.
In Kathmandu valley, 1,261 people were confirmed positive including 528 women and 733 men.
Meanwhile, 26 people succumbed to the virus today, taking the death toll to 1,174. The fatality percentage is 0.6 per cent.
Another, 382 are undergoing treatment in ICU while 95 are in ventilator support.
