CPN Maoist Centre forms five-member working group to amend statute



Kathmandu, April 11: The CPN (Maoist Centre) has formed a working group to amend the statute of the parliamentary party.

A five-member working group has been formed for the revision of the constitution at the meeting of the parliamentary party held today at the Singh Durbar under the chairmanship of the leader of the Maoist parliamentary party and Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’.

MP Rajan Dahal informed that a working group has been formed under the coordination of Maoist Parliamentary Party Chief Whip Hitraj Pandey. Members of the House of Representatives and the National Assembly are members of the working group. The members of the working group are Purna Ghartimagar and Bimala Subedi from the House of Representatives and Jag Prasad Sharma and Ganga Belbase from the National Assembly.

MP Dahal said that the working group will present a report on the amendment of the statute. The meeting also discussed the issue of choosing a parliamentary committee.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Prachanda gave information about government activities. Prachanda had directed to present in Parliament in a disciplined and dignified manner.
