CPN Maoist Centre to reject ordinances

Pushpa Kamal Dahal Prachanda

Kathmandu, Jan 30: The main opposition Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Center) has decided to reject the ordinances introduced by the government, after concluding that the process of issuing the ordinance has weakened democracy.

The parliamentary party meeting held at Singha Durbar today under the chair of parliamentary party leader and party chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ decided to raise the issues concerning people’s livelihood in the House, shared the party’s Chief Whip Hitaraj Pandey.

“The six ordinances are incorrect procedurally and hence a decision has been taken to register a notice rejecting them and to put pressure on the current government to implement the commitments made during its formation and address the issues of people’s livelihood,” he said.

Chief Whip Pandey shared that party Chair Dahal instructed the members of parliament to present themselves in the House in a strong manner and raise the people’s issues with priority. #nepal #ordinance
