Kathmandu, March 4: CPN (UML) Chairman and former Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has commented that despite trying to do good, his party is being attacked from all sides.
At a central committee meeting of the Nepal Intellectual Council organised at Gatthaghar of Bhaktapur today, Chairman Oli also mentioned that it is a misfortune for the country that the UML, which is trying to do good, is attacked from all sides.
Chairman mentioned that the powers that succeeded in misleading the people are still occupying power and urged the intellectuals close to the party to get rid of it. He said that it is necessary for the intellectuals to play the bugle to free the people from the elements that confuse, disorient and mislead the people. He also said that the intellectuals close to UML party should make the people free from confusion by writing, speaking, seminars, meetings and conferences.
Stating that no one could achieve a success without efforts and hard work, he urged intellectuals to show the right path, the path of change and transformation to those heading in the wrong direction.
“Don’t panic if hundred opponents continuously make negative comments, and instead think that they are scared from your ideas.”
He also asked them to disseminate right thoughts in an organised manner.
Similarly, Council Central Chair Dr Dinesh Chandra Devkota blamed the CPN (Maoist Centre) for betraying the UML.
The Council would move ahead together with the UML and make its ‘Mission grassroots’ campaign successful, he said.
