Kathmandu, Oct 10: The CPN UML central secretariat meeting called on the party rank and file to unite against the growing trend of fueling frustration in society. The meeting was held on Thursday at the party headquarters, Chyasal in Lalitpur.
Sharing the meeting decisions with the media, party Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali said he requested the party hierarchy to collectively stand for a democratic republic constitution and transformation in the country with the confidence that the ‘nation will be built’.
He utilised the time to claim that the government faced and responded to the recent devastating disaster and its consequences to its full capacity, expecting further support and cooperation from all quarters in the government’s efforts to address the post-disaster situation.
“The Nepali Army, the Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force, people’s representatives, employees and party cadres engaged in efforts to face the adversity,” he reminded.
The meeting directed all the party-affiliated organizations, cadres, and people’s representatives to join hands in the rehabilitation of the survivors and in the completion of the remaining rescue, relief and search operations.
The party also wanted its committees at the bottom level to take a necessary decision by November 7 to finalize the potential candidates for the upcoming by-election of the local locals scheduled to be held on December 1. #disaster #monsoon #rss
