CPN UML Chairman Oli for elevating people’s lifestyle with economic progress

Kavre, Dec 10: The CPN UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has stressed on elevation of people’s lifestyle with economic progress. Chairman Oli said it while addressing a programme organized at Mandandeupur, Nepal, as part of the nationwide resolution campaign of the party.

All sides should make concerted efforts for reviving economy, Oli said, adding that institutional development of democracy is equally important. “People have been downcast for not having robust economy,” he argued.

According to him, once entrepreneurship is fostered, it helps create jobs. So, it is time for us to emphasize it.

He further said Mandandeupur and Panchkhal areas could be made verdant with agricultural products by bringing water from Indrawati River.

Modernization of agriculture is essential to jack up economy. “We need to lift ourselves from subsistence farming and bring change in lifestyle and economy,” he underlined.

On the occasion, politburo member of the party, Gokul Banskota, said if the arable lands are utilized and youths engaged in modern agriculture, it would help curb youth exodus. He saw the need of chilling centre to preserve quality and freshness of the agro products here.

Various other leaders of the party also addressed the programme.
