Kathmandu, April 28: The main opposition CPN (UML) has demanded that the Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal should come to the parliament and answer about the attempted attack against it’s Chairman KP Sharma Oli in Jhapa.
In the meeting of the House of Representatives on Friday, UML MP Bishnu Paudel demanded an answer from the Prime Minister saying that the leaders of his party are being attacked continuously in several places.
He said that on the way back from Ilam, there was an attempt to attack by creating hurdle on the road and there were reports that such preparations were made in other areas as well.
Stating that the government has become a silent supporter and received information that some activists of the pro-ruling party participated in inciting the attackers, MP Paudel said, “The government has shown inaction, I strongly condemn this inaction.”
He said that when the matter was raised in the Parliament about the attempt of fatal attack on the UML leaders, Home Minister tried to assure us but the attempted attack did not stop. “The information given by the Home Minister to the House was not enough. Strict action should be taken against those involved in this crime”, he said.
