Kathmandu: The Politburo meeting of CPN (Unified Socialist) has been postponed until tomorrow. The meeting presided over by party Chairman Madhav Kumar Nepal was adjourned until tomorrow as some leaders were yet to express their views.

Head of the Central Publicity Department Jagannath Khatiwada informed that 30 leaders spoke in the meeting with a focus on the current government and the participation of the party in the government.

Most of the leaders were of the view that priority should be given to unity with the left-wing forces.

At the beginning of the meeting, Chair Nepal informed about the reason for the breakup of the Nepali Congress-led coalition and the political developments thereafter. He also proposed that the party should not participate in the current government, which is standing on the foundation of regression and reactionaries.

The politburo meeting was called after the party’s standing committee meeting could not decide whether to join the government. The meeting to be held tomorrow is likely to decide on the matter.
