Crocodile found in a public pond

Saptari, Oct 18 : A crocodile was found in a public pond at a village in eastern Saptari while fishing.

Fishermen found the crocodile weighing around 6-7 kilograms in the pond at Hanumannagar Kankalini municipality-8, Joginiya.

They informed the police once the crocodile was hooked in to the net while fishing. A police team deputed from Area Police Office Hanumannagar caught the crocodile and handed it to the District Forest Division Office.

Fire guts property worth Rs 500,000

A fire that engulfed a house at Barmajhiya in Kanchanrup municipality, Saptari on Thursday gutted property worth Rs 500,000.

According to the Area Polie Office, Kanchanpur, the fire occurred at the house of Bholi Saha of Kanchanrup municipality-2, Barmajhiya. It has gutted physical goods, food stuffs, clothes, cash and kind.
