Deuba ahead with double votes in Dadeldhura

Dadeldhura: Prime Minister and President of the Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba is ahead of his nearest competitor by 3,022 votes in the election held for the post of member of the House of Representatives from Dadeldhura.

With 10,870 votes counted so far, Deuba has received 5,621 votes. His closest competitor, an independent candidate, Sagar Dhakal, has received 2,599 votes.

Likewise, Nepali Congress BP party’s Karna Bahadur Malla has got 1,636 votes while 656 votes were found to be invalid, according to the Office of the Returning Officer.

Acharya of Congress leads in Rasuwa

Nepali Congress is leading the vote count in the elections held for the post of member of the House of Representatives in Rasuwa. According to the results as of 5 am, out of 5,722 votes counted, Mohan Acharya of Congress has received 3,350 votes.

His nearest rival is Tshewang Tamang of CPN (UML), who has received 2,140 votes. Altogether 151 votes were deemed invalid.

Similarly, Prabhat Lama of Congress has got 1033 votes while Kul Prasad Bhatt of UML got 943 votes out of 2057 votes counted in Provincial Assembly ‘A’ seat.

The counting of votes of the election of members of the House of Representatives and the Provincial Assembly held on Sunday started from Monday night only.

Dhading-2: Congress ahead

Nepali Congress candidate Ramnath Adhikari has taken the lead in constituency no. 2 of the district by 450 votes. According to the preliminary vote results so far, he has got 2,961 votes.

His nearest competitor Khem Prasad Lohani of CPN (UML) has got 2566 votes. Voting is underway, with 6400 votes counted so far.
