Kathmandu, July 19: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has said that there is a risk of sudden floods in rivers in different parts of the country and urged people in those areas to stay alert.
The department said today that there is risk of large and small rivers causing flooding in Jhapa, Morang, Sunsari, Ilam, Panchthar, Tehrathum, Dolakha, Sindhupalchok, Kavrepalanchok, Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, Lalitpur, Dhading, Makawanpur, Chitwan, Kaski, Tanahu, Syangja, Parbat, Baglung, Gulmi, Palpa, Arghakhanchi, Pyuthan, Nawalparasi (East and West), Rupandehi, Kapilvastu, Dang, Banke, Bardiya, Doti, Dadeldhura, Kailali, Kanchanpur, and nearby districts.
According to the department, the water levels of the Koshi, Narayani, Bagmati, Karnali, Mahakali rivers and their tributaries, as well as the Kankai, Kamala, Babai, East Rapti, and West Rapti rivers, are below the risk line. #nepal #rss
