Kathmandu: The Election Commission has instructed to count the direct and proportional votes in four places at the same time while counting the votes of the members of the House of Representatives and the members of the Provincial Assembly held today.

During the voting, some polling stations received complaints that some ballots for the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly fell into the other ballot boxes due to the carelessness of the staff and voters. The Commission plans to release the results within eight days after calculating in this way.

In a press conference held this evening, Chief Election Commissioner Dinesh Kumar Thapaliya said that the ballot boxes are being transported from all the polling stations to the office of the election officer from this evening and after the ballot boxes are brought to the counting station, the counting of votes will be started from to-night in Kathmandu valley and other areas after obtaining party agreement.

Helicopters will also be used for safe collection of ballot boxes in remote locations. The Commission has instructed to start the counting of votes immediately after the collection. Voting has been suspended in 15 polling stations today.
