Dharan, March 9: Chief Minister of Koshi Province, Hikmat Kumar Karki, has said sincere efforts were on for the development of tourism infrastructures.
Inaugurating the three-day ‘eastern travel mart’ kicked off at Apganchhi of Itahari city on Sunday, CM Karki reminded tourism is one of the fundamental pillars of economic prosperity, so the province government has paid adequate attention to this.
Economic prosperity and development are utmost priority of the government, he said, adding that development initiatives were forwarded in a planned manner.
He expressed readiness to work together with local level so that additional tourist destinations would be identified and tourists’ arrival improved.
The travel mart is organized by Nepal Tourism Board with the financial support of Koshi Province government and Itahari sub metropolis.
Mart organizing secretary Basudev Baral informed that the event would be attended by the foreign tourists from Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim, Bhutan and Bangladesh. They would be taken to various touristy places in the province, he added.#nepal #political #rss
