KATHMANDU: The Election Commission (EC) has endorsed election programme for upcoming local level election.
EC Spokesperson Shaligram Sharma Poudel shared that the Commission has approved election programme ranging from nomination to voting fin view of civic poll scheduled to take place on May 13.
According to the election programme, nomination of the candidates is scheduled for coming April 24-25, publication of list of candidates nominated on April 25 and complaint registration against candidates is set for April 26.
Likewise, scrutiny on nomination paper and taking decision on complaint after scrutiny is set for April 27-28 and publication of list of candidates nominated is scheduled for April 28, Poudel informed.
The election programme includes withdrawal of candidacy and publication of final list of candidates on April 29 and providing election symbol to the candidates on April 30.
The EC has clarified that all the offices related to election are at the election officer’s office.
