Kathmandu, Feb 25: The Election Commission, in consultation with the government, has informed that the by-election of the vacant member of the House of Representatives of Ilam Constituency No. 2 and Bajhang Provincial Assembly (A) will be held on the 5th of Baisakh (April 17).
These two constituencies remained vacant after Subash Chandra Nemwang, member of the House of Representatives from Ilam-2, and Prithvi Bahadur Singh, member of the Provincial Assembly of Bajhang (A), had passed away.
According to the statement issued by the Commission, the date of the by-election for the remaining term has been fixed according to the election law. With the date of the by-election set, the commission has postponed the voter registration. #Nepal
