Biratnagar, Aug 13: An estimated three to four year old elephant was found dead in Belbari-3 Karamdanda of Morang district.
Ward Chairman Yogendra Prasad Subedi of Belbari Municipality-3 informed that the elephant was found dead in the private forest of local residents Anita Thapa and Rekha Thapa this morning.
Hemant Parajuli, the Acting Chief of the Division Forest Office, informed that the teams of Sub-Division Forest Office Belbari, Area Police Office Belbari and Armed Police Force Base Camp Laximarg reached the spot and started collecting evidences.
He said that the cause death could not be revealed. It is said that the team of the National Nature Conservation Trust in the Koshi Tappu Wildlife Reserve in Sunsari is also coming to the scene. #elephant
