The Jomsom-Korala roadway linking Upper Mustang has been completely obstructed since the morning today due to landslide and flood following incessant rainfall.
The District Police Office Mustang said the road has been blocked due to the flood in the Tangwekhola rivulet at Chhusang and near the Mustang Gate at Chhusang following incessant rainfall since the morning.
Police Inspector Bishal Adhikari, the Information Officer at the DPO Mustang, said the road has been completely blocked due to a mudslide near the Mustang Gate at Chhusang, Baragung-3 and the flood with mudflow at a rivulet near Tangwe.
Around 30 metres of the road has been completely damaged, he said.

Blocked Mid-Hill Highway reopens
The Mid-Hill Highway in Golanjor Rural Municipality-3, Baseri, Sindhuli, which was blocked due to a landslide, is now open to traffic.
Early this morning at 2am, a drainage canal beside the road collapsed, causing rocks, soil, and debris to fall onto the highway, temporarily disrupting traffic.

Flood, landslide obstruct several roads including Mechi highway
Most of the roads in Panchthar including Mechi highway, Pushpa Lal highway and Tamor corridor have been obstructed due to flood following incessant rainfall occurred from Saturday night.
Vehicular movement along Mechi highway has come to a standstill after the flood damaged diversion constructed at Hewa stream along Mechi highway, said Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Panchthar, Rupesh Tamang.
Hewa rivulet lies at the border of Phidim municipality and Hilihang rural municipality. Vehicles had been using the diversion after the flood occurred on September 28, 2024 washed away a bailey bridge over the Hewa rivulet.
