Eleven people injured in jeep accident in Humla



Humla, Oct 10: At least 11 people were injured in a jeep accident near Piplang of Chankheli rural municipality in the district today.

Out of 12 people in the jeep, 11 were injured in the accident, according to Information Officer at the District Police Office, Police Inspector Janga Bahadur Singh.

The accident took place when jeep (Karnali Province 02001 Cha 1091) heading towards Piplang from Melchham of the same rural municipality fell around 300 meters off the road.

The injured are Bimala Budha, 14, Dipendra Singh, 24 and Anupam Rokaya, 8, Divans Buda, 2, of Chankheli-6, Jagrit Rokaya, 4, Manbir Budha, 29, Mahendra Rokaya, 36, Basanti Rokaya, 29, of Simkot-8, Parbati Siraka, 26, Hans Lama, 24, Kailash Siraka, 29, and Bahadur Lama, 29, of the same rural municipality.

Of the injured, some are receiving treatment at local health posts as well as preparation was underway to airlift some of the injured ones to other places for further treatment, said Chief of Education, Youth and Sports Section of the rural municipality, Tika Upadhyay. #nepal #rss
