DHADING: As the country is grappling with the crisis of chemical fertiliser across the country, farmers on Saturday seized two trucks of urea fertiliser at Dharke of Dhunibensi Municipality-6 in the district.
The fertiliser is said to be imported from Indian market by evading customs revenue.
Prior to this, the security officials from the Inland Revenue Department had taken under control the fertiliser.
As traders informed the farmers about the fertiliser, some 500 farmers flocked the highway and grabbed some 500 sacks of urea, taking it away to their home.
However, the Armed Police Force personnel have managed to save some sacks of fertiliser and kept in Area Police Office, Khanikhola.
Likewise, police personnel charged baton to disperse the locals who had thronged the highway to seize the urea.
