Kathmandu, June 27: A father and daughter died in a road accident on Tuesday at Shivasatakshi in Jhapa under East-West Highway.
According to the District Police Office, Jhapa, a truck no. Pra 1-02-001Ka 3879 coming from west to east and the car no. Pra 1-01-00Cha 7482 coming from the opposite direction collided with each other on the highway at Shivasatakshi-9 Bhalukhola.
Police informed that car driver Guruchan Chaudhary (45 years) and his 18-year-old daughter Kumkum died. Both of the seriously injured in the accident died during treatment at BNC Hospital in Birtamod.
Five others were injured in the accident. The deceased’s wife Sujitha, 40, son Bibek, 10, Ranjudevi Chaudhary, 36, Rikesh Neupane, 19, and Muna Shah, 40, of Urlabari-7, are among the injured. They are being treated at BNC Hospital.
According to the police, they were returning home after attending a wedding with their family and relatives when they met with an accident.
