Kathmandu, Nov 26: Today is the final day for political parties to register with the Election Commission in order to participate in the House of Representatives election scheduled for Falgun 21 (March 5, 2026).
The Election Commission had set the registration period for the House of Representatives election from November 27 until today.
So far, 80 parties, including the Nepali Congress, CPN-UML, and Nepali Communist Party, have completed their registration, according to the Commission. Only those registered specifically for election purposes will be eligible to take part in the election of House of Representatives.
The Commission will conduct verification and review of the election-purpose registered parties from November 27 to December 4, and will publish the final list of approved parties on December 6. #nepal #election
