Nepalgunj, Sept 10: Five persons died and seven others were injured in a clash among the juveniles at Naubasta-based Juvenile Correction Home.
Jailer of Naubasta Jail, Jalandhar Bhusal, said the clash had taken place while the juvenile delinquents tried to escape after breaking the gate.
Out of 585 prisoners, 149 detainees and 76 from Juvenile Correction Home had fled. He shared that this situation surfaced as the prisoners and juvenile delinquents are kept together.
All the injured ones have been kept in Nepalgunj-based Bheri Hospital. They are undergoing treatment at different health institutions in the district.
