
Ilam, April 13: On the occasion of the Nepali New Year 2082 BS, Foreign Minister Dr Arzu Rana Deuba, along with ambassadors from 15 different countries to Nepal, arrived in Kanyam.
This informal visit was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Nepal Tourism Board, in coordination with Suryodaya Municipality of Ilam.
Led by Foreign Minister Dr Rana, the delegation included Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Amrit Rai, staff from the Ministry and the Board, as well as 45 high-level officials, including ambassadors from 15 countries. The team was welcomed in Kanyam by the municipality and then taken to Shree Antu located in Ward No. 4. The guests were welcomed with a traditional Panche Baja (a set of traditional Nepali musical instruments).
As part of its annual program, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs arranges visits for ambassadors to various tourist destinations across the country. The delegation includes ambassadors from Egypt, South Korea, the UK, Switzerland, Thailand, Australia, France, Israel, and Japan, among others.
