Bhimdattanagar:
Former national player Nari Chand has died while threshing wheat here last night. Chand, a resident of Bangaun, Bhimdattanagar municipality-5, was a football and handball national player.
He died on the spot after getting caught up in the engine belt of a tractor while threshing wheat, the District Police Office Kanchanpur said.
The body has been taken to the Mahakali Hospital for a post-mortem examination while the tractor driver has been held for investigation, according to the police.
