Kathmandu, Jan 7: Former President of Nepal Mrs Bidya Devi Bhandari has expressed sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by an earthquake in Tibet, China, this morning.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), she conveyed her condolences, stating, “I am deeply shocked by the powerful earthquake centered in Tibet, China, this morning, which has claimed the lives of many Chinese citizens and left several injured. In this moment of grief, I extend my heartfelt condolences to His Excellency President Xi Jinping, the Chinese government, and the bereaved families.”
“During this sensitive time, Nepal and its people stand with the people of China. I firmly believe that our friendly neighbor will succeed in restoring normalcy to the affected lives in a short time,” she has further said. #nepal #tibet #earthquake #china
