Four killed, including three of the same family, as bus hits autorickshaw



Janakpurdham, Nov 2: Four people, including three members of the same family, were killed when a passenger bus hit an autorickshaw in Birendra Bazaar of Dhanusha district. Two children were seriously injured in the accident.

The incident occurred on Saturday evening when a passenger bus (Su.Pra.01–001 Kh 3288) heading from Biratnagar to Dhangadhi collided head-on with an autorickshaw (Province 2–01–001 Ha 1230) coming from the opposite direction.

According to local police at Dhalkebar, the accident took place at Birendra Bazaar in Ganeshman Charnath Municipality–1 along the East-West Highway. The deceased have been identified as 40-year-old Dhan Bahadur Purbachhane Magar, 35-year-old Shambhu Purbachhane Magar, 35-year-old Nisha Magar, and around 40-year-old autorickshaw driver Dambar Rai, all of whom died on the spot.

Police said that 14-year-old Sheetal Magar and 9-year-old Roshan Magar were seriously injured in the incident and have been admitted to Neuro Hospital in Janakpurdham for treatment. Further investigation into the accident is underway, police added. #accident #nepal
