Four people died of diarrhea in Narainapur of Banke

Banke, Sept 2: Four people have died of diarrhea in Gegli village in Narainapur Rural Municipality-3 of Banke district on Sunday.

According to Ajay Mishra, the ward Chairman of Narainapur-3, the deceased were 25-year-old Rusa Pasi, her one-and-a-half-year-old daughter Nandani Pasi, 60-year-old Shanti Pasi, and 10-year-old Yusuf. The village is located near the Indian border.

Ten other villagers have also fallen ill due to the outbreak of diarrhea. The village health office has been informed and is providing treatment to the patients. Taj Mohammad Khan, a local leader, stated that the residents of Gegli village are awaiting medical assistance after the tragic incident.

Ishtiaq Ahmed Shah, the chairman of Narainapur Rural Municipality, mentioned that upon hearing about the situation, a team of health workers was immediately dispatched to the village. They have set up a health camp in Gegli village to provide necessary medical care.

Federal Member of Parliament Surya Dhakal, elected from the area, visited the affected village on Monday to assess the situation. He has made arrangements to ensure healthcare services are provided to the people affected by the outbreak. #health #diarrhea #banke
