French parliamentary team meets with PM Deuba

KATHMANDU: A delegation of France-Nepal Parliamentary Friendship Group led by Chairperson Véronique Riotton called on Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba today.

The two sides discussed matters relating to the promotion of Nepal-France bilateral relations, PMO said.

The visit is taking place at the invitation of the Chairman of Nepal-France Inter Parliamentary Group Madhav Kumar Nepal from March 8 to March 12, according to Embassy of France in Nepal.

The visiting French parliamentary delegation will pay courtesy calls on President Bidya Devi Bhandari, Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba, Speaker of House of Representatives Agni Sapkota, Chairman of the National Assembly Ganesh Prasad Timilsina, the main opposition party, CPN-UML, Chairman KP Sharma Oli and Minister for Foreign Affairs Dr Narayan Khadka.

The visiting delegation is also scheduled to hold meeting with Mayor of Lalitpur Metropolitan City and members of private sectors and think-tanks, among others, during their stay in Nepal.
