FTTH service brought into operation in Banglachuli

Dang, Nov 24: Minister for Communications and Information Technology Rekha Sharma on Thursday marked the beginning of the Fiber to the Home (FTTH) service at Kamirechaur of Banglachuli Rural Municipality in Dang district.

With the beginning of the FTTH, the rural municipality office, Kamirechaur bazaar and Shreebari village areas will have an access to high speech internet connectivity. The Nepal Telecom said that landline telephone, high speech internet and television services could also be used from the FTTH service.

The FTTH service was started at Kamirechaur by installing the fiber distribution cabinet (FDC) of 512 lines. On the occasion, Minister Sharma said that the government has accorded top priority to ensure people’s access to high-tech telecom service in all the rural municipalities.

Likewise, Chairman of Banglachuli Rural Municipality Tulsiram Punmagar expressed the confidence that the recent setup will provide better internet connectivity and communication services to the people there. The FTTH service was installed there with the directive from Minister Sharma.
