Gorkha, Aug 17: Chief Minister of Gandaki Province, Surendra Raj Pandey, has shared that a target has been set to develop the Gandaki Province as the medical hub.
Inaugurating Gorkha NPI Hospital at the district headquarters today, he opined that the the Gandaki province government has allocated 10 per cent of its total budget in the health sector by keeping this top priority in the current fiscal year.
The Chief Minister also pointed out the possibility of developing Gandaki as the centre of health tourism, adding that activities were underway in a planned manner with this purpose.
“We cannot stop youths from going abroad without creating new opportunities. Creating employment opportunities in the health sector is our goal and we are carrying out activities to create a lucrative employment opportunity for specialist doctors, nurses and health workers within the province,” he argued.
