From now onwards, genetic test of breast cancer could be done at the Laboratory, the Ministry announced. Earlier, the samples were being sent to India for similar tests.

The Laboratory will conduct screening of breast cancer through gene sequencing through blood and tissues. Along with this, the Laboratory will regularly conduct four types of samples related to cancer, it was shared.

While the genetic test of breast cancer could cost Rs 6,000 in India, the Laboratory here is offering the service a half the price, said the Secretariat of the Minister for Health and Population. #cancer #nepal
