Gold price breaks record, Surges to unprecedented Rs. 119,300 Per Tola today

Kathmandu, Nov 29: The price of gold in the Nepal market has soared to unparalleled heights, reaching an all-time high on November 29, 2023. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA) has reported a single-day gain of Rs. 1600, propelling hallmark gold to a rate of Rs. 119,300 per tola.

Just a day ago, on November 28, 2023, the price of hallmark gold stood at Rs. 1,17,700 per tola, marking the highest ever recorded at that time. Worked gold has also witnessed an increase, currently trading at Rs. 118,750 per tola, up from its previous rate of Rs. 117,150.

The surge in gold prices was initiated on November 27, 2023, when both hallmark gold and worked gold hit unprecedented highs at Rs. 1,17,700 and Rs. 1,17,150 per tola, respectively.

In contrast to the gold rally, the price of silver has seen a notable uptick, gaining Rs. 20 to trade at Rs. 1,520 per tola.

The global surge in gold prices, currently standing at USD $2,045.60 per ounce, has sent ripples through the domestic bullion market. Concurrently, the price of silver on the worldwide stage is being exchanged at $24.98 per ounce.
